Florida Hospital Partners with the Bithlo Transformation Effort
The Bithlo Community was neglected for years and because of their lack of standing as a town by the government, the community had no septic or water supply, limited resources in almost every other area. However, now with UGO at the forefront of restoring this community, there is now a school, a gym, town center, and fully certified medical center.

Florida Blue Foundation Sapphire 2016 Winner: Bithlo Dental Access Program
Due to the poor water conditions, Bithlo’s residents have terrible tooth decay from simply drinking the water coming out of their taps. The mobile dentist unit that comes to the village helps to prevent dental decay in all their patients and provide previously impossible dental care to this community.

Edwards Hampering Bithlo's Momentum
Bithlo Transformational village has been continuously improving and adding more resources for its residents. These new improvements include a salon, aquaponics system, library and coffee shop in the making, a hair dresser, a model tiny house, and new roads and bridges being upgraded. However, this momentum will cease if the county commissioner, Ted Edwards, won’t back the movement.

Rebuilding Bithlo
The town of Bithlo was officially declared bankrupt by the state of Florida in 1929 and has been abandoned ever since. However, now that the non-profit United Global Outreach is championing its cause, the town is now on its way to having clean water, a safe and sustainable infrastructure, and access to healthcare.
